In spite of the wonderful ambience of a sleepy fishing village, complete with sandy streets and crooked tree-trunk street lights, Isabela is now a 'must' on most land-based tours due to the incredible activities only available there...like Los Tuneles or trekking Sierra Negra Volcano.  Accommodations on Isabela range from quite lovely oceanfront suites to very economical options. All but two of our selections are oceanfront and they are both 1 block back from the sea.

Our best value pick on Isabela is Casa del Sol.   Stunning beachfront setting.  8 of the 11 rooms with sea views.  2 rooms are bright, white mini-lofts with and wall of glass overlooking the ocean.  Decorated by paintings from owner who is a long time Naturalist Guide on Isabela.  At least $100 per night less than expensive neighbors.
